Sulfamic Acid or Aminosulfonic Acid is a moderately strong acid which is used as a cleaner in the surface treatment of metals and ceramics, a household scale remover, a mortar and rust residues cleaner. It is used as a bleaching agent in the paper and textile industries. It also stabilizes chlorine and hypochlorite in swimming pools and eliminates limescale deposits.
