Vitamin E or dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate or RRR-alpha-tocopheryl is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is an antioxidant that protects and maintains cellular functions. It also controls carbohydrate and creatine metabolism, muscle and glycogen balance. In animal nutrition Vitamin E allows, by its antioxidant power, to maintain the quality of the meat after slaughtering because it remains stored in the fats. In oily form, it is available in 95% Feed grade and 98% Pharma grade.
